Jane Miller, MD – Board Certified Fertility Specialist
Jane Miller, M.D. received her Baccalaureate Degree, Cum Laude with Honors in Gallic Letters from Yale University. She received her Medical Degree from the Downstate College of Medicine at the State University of New York in 1978. Dr. Miller completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Psychiatry at Yale University before attending the residency programs in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harvard University and the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Miller returned to Downstate Medical Center to complete her Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology in 1989. She served as Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology Division at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center before opening the North Hudson IVF. Center for Fertility and Gynecology in 1995. Jane Miller, M.D. and T. Timothy Smith, Ph.D. currently direct the prestigious fertility clinic, which serves northern New Jersey and the entire New York City Metro area.
Dr. Miller is board certified in both Reproductive Endocrinology and Obstetrics and Gynecology specializing in fertility treatment, including in vitro fertilization (IVF), donor egg IVF, and laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. Dr. Miller believes in rapid but meticulous diagnostic work followed by aggressive medical management to ensure that patients achieve their goals in the minimal amount of time and with minimal expense.
T. Timothy Smith, Ph.D., H.C.L.D. – Scientific Director
T. Timothy Smith, Ph.D. received his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of British Columbia in 1980. He completed his Doctoral degree in Anatomy and Reproductive Biology from the University of Hawaii in 1990. Dr. Smith was awarded the M.C. Chang Postdoctoral Fellowship for postgraduate training from the Worcester Foundation for Experimental Biology.
After completion of his postdoctoral training, Dr. Smith joined the staff of the Boston Regional Center for Reproductive Medicine as Associate Laboratory Director and Director of Research. In 1993, Dr. Smith was recruited to the faculty of the University of Kentucky where, in addition to his clinical responsibilities as the Director of the Laboratory for Assisted Reproduction at the University Medical Center, he maintained an active research program in reproductive biology. In addition to his work at our prestigious fertility clinic, Dr. Smith has authored numerous scientific publications in the field, and developed a patented medical device for intrauterine insemination.
T. Timothy Smith, Ph.D. is board certified in both Clinical Embryology and Clinical Andrology and serves as an inspector for the Reproductive Laboratory Accreditation Program of the College of American Pathologists. Dr. Smith’s areas of laboratory expertise include in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), pre-implantation embryonic development, diagnostic and therapeutic andrology and endocrinological testing.
